The eyes give us the ability to judge the truth. If you lose your eye sight, the beautiful World will be filled with darkness along with your own life. So, our duty is to take care of the eyes.

Add such type of foods that can increase eye power

Carrot Carrots are rich in Vitamin A which is very much essential for good vision. It promotes eye health & improves eye sight. Besides this, it is also a good source of lutein & beta carotene that are beneficial for eye health. These antioxidants can protect eye from age related degenerative diseases.  


Fish - Fishes are rich in Omega-3 fatty acids that may help protect against dry eyes. Dry eye is a condition when tears are not able to lubricate your eyes adequately. Specially, salmon, tuna are very much effective for eyes.

Fish oil is also beneficial for eyes because it reduces the risk of macular degeneration.


Nuts – Vitamin E also plays an important role to keep the eye healthy. Walnuts, almonds all are rich sources of Vitamin E.  So, nuts can boost your eye health.

Practice eye exercises everyday-

Get enough sleep at night -

Not getting enough sleep can lead to dry & bloodshot eyes. The eyes feel strained, dry and itchy due to lack of sleep. 

Eyes function throughout the day and so it needs rest. An adult needs to sleep for 7-9 hours in a day. Avoid using mobile phones and watching television in dim light or before sleeping.

>Protect your eyes from sunlight -

Whenever you go out of your house during the day or afternoon, wear your sunglasses to protect your eyes from ultraviolet rays of the sun. The harmful ultraviolet rays can reduce the eyesight on prolonged exposure.

Do not indulge yourself in watching television or using mobile phones for long hours.

People spend most of their time in either watching television or using mobile phones and laptops. These habits can affect the eyesight if continued for a longer time. 

Regular breaks from using screen should be taken to avoid strain in the eyes. The strain in the eyes produced due to continued usage of screen may even cause headache, neck tension and decreased vision.


Avoid smoking for your eyes -

Smoking can damage the optic nerve, cause age-related macular degeneration, cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and Dry eye syndrome and contribute in reducing eye vision.


Go for regular eye check-up -

Regular eye check ups may rule out the problems in the eye and further help in treating them. This would aid in maintaining eye vision.
